Montenegro - the pearl of the Mediterranean, special in many ways is located in the southeast of the Adriatic. There is nowhere else that you can discover, in such a small location, such natural wealth, attractiveness, moderate beaches, clear lakes, fast rivers and splendid mountains - like you can in the small state of Montenegro. In the morning you can wake along the lovely Adriatic coast, have lunch near Skadar Lake, and enjoy the evening walks in the Montenegrin Mountains.

Montenegro is not only an excellent alternative for your vacations, Montenegro has many other extraordinary characteristics: history, culture, tradition, good weather, clean air, beautiful nature, blue Adriatic Sea … Everybody should travel to Montenegro sometime. This little area is part of the Balkans and part of the Mediterranean, near Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Italy and Albania. No matter its small size there are so many contrasts and so much natural beauty. Don’t forget to take your camera as in Montenegro every look at is like a photo from you dreams.

Montenegro is for certain one of the most intriguing spots in the world. Even though it extends solely around 14.000 km2 and it only has about 670.000 citizens Montenegro is a southern European and a Mediterranean indipendent land. It is one of the most southern European states and it comes out on the south part of the Adriatic Sea. About 500km from Rome, 1.500 km from Paris, and Berlin, and about 2.000km west from Moscow, Montenegro rests on the Balkan Peninsula in the very heart of Europe.

The sea, the lakes, the canyons or the mountains enable everybody to decide on the best way to take pleasure in a quality holiday. In your Montenegro travel verify the Bay of Kotor, one of the most lovely bays of the world. It consists four connected passes. High cliffs that surround the bay from all sides reflect in the deep blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. Seven islands decorate the Bay of Kotor: Saint Marco, the island of Mamula, the island of Our Lady of the Rock, Saint George, the island of Milosrdja, the island of Flowers, and the smallest island of little Mother of God. The road delineating the Bay of Kotor extends through a chain of cities that can enlighten the traveler, each by their special characteristics and history. Among them is Kotor, city of World Cultural Heritage.

Thinking of taking a holiday in Ireland? Visiting Ireland on a holiday or vacation is a decision you will not regret. Ireland, although small, is a truly beautiful little country with a background steeped in culture and wonderful history. Ireland is primarily a Celtic nation, with an interesting mix of ancient and modern culture.

The population of Ireland is approximately 4.5 million, which is of course small for a country. It is split into 2 parts - the republic Of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is still in fact a part of the UK. It consists of 32 counties, 26 which are in the ROI and 6 which are in N.Ireland.

Ireland has three world heritage sites - the Boyne valley (scene of a very famous battle), Great Skillig and the Giants causeway in Northern Ireland. However there are numerous other wonderful places of interest to visit if you are thinking of taking a holiday to Ireland. The scenery is truly amazing, with miles of unspoilt greenery and fantastic cliffs where the Atlantic ocean crashes in.

The county of Donegal is one of the counties well worth a visit. There you will discover old Irish thatched cottages, which have remained untouched for over a hundred years and a visit wouldn’t be complete without a walk on the beaches of Donegal, taking in the stunning cliffs of this Irish county.

Your holiday in Ireland probably would not be complete either without visiting Dublin, the capital city of Ireland - a city which has grown extremely popular with tourists taking a short break holiday to Ireland. It is a city steeped in culture, both in terms of music and the arts. Of course it is also home to the world famous Guiness storehouse. In fact the Guiness brewery is the no1 international tourist visitor when it comes to a holiday in Ireland!

Yes a holiday to Ireland will guarantee a very enjoyable and memorable visit. So much to see and so much to do. Ireland is a country with connections the world over, having experienced a large exodus of its people who were scattered worldwide during the very hard times in Ireland hundreds of years ago. That is one of the reasons why so many people with Irish roots are so keen to visit its wonderful shores each year and experience the delights of a holiday in Ireland

A1 Limousine of South Florida announced plans to expand its signature Luxury Limousine Service into Central Florida providing transportation for Orlando, Tampa, Daytona, Saint Petersburg, Clearwater, and parts of South West FL. Their core business will be offering Stretch Hummer Limousines and Party Buses for weddings, proms, nights out and more.
This move has come as the next obvious step for the Transportation Service. According to Bill Tozer, the lead Chauffer for A1, Bill states ‘that more and more work is evolving from the Tampa and so it only seems natural to open an office close to these areas.’ A1 Limousine has commented that the rising oil prices are making it harder and harder to be competitive in far away locations. The need to have vehicles close by is a necessity. The company also said that the skyrocketing oil prices has really hurt their bottom line, and that opening the new office will absorbed some of the inflation.
The company plans to install 5 Stretch Hummer Limousines in Fort Lauderdale. in the Orlando as well as 3 Party Buses. A1’s core business will be providing Charter Chauffeured Service for Weddings, Bachelor Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Sporting Events, Corporate Events, Airport Transfers, Limo Hire and Shuttle Service Proms, and Homecomings.
During the past 8 years A1 Limousine has been offering service primarily for Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach Florida. The business first opened their doors out of a 300 foot guest house in Lake Worth Florida with nothing more than a phone, a Limo Bus and a dream. The company now is believed to be the largest Hummer and Limo Bus Provider in Florida, possibly the country. A1 has a fleet of 10 Party Buses raging in size from 50 to 12 passengers. A1’s unprecedented fleet of Hummer Limousines includes the colors White, Black, Yellow, Blue, and Zebra Print. With a total count of 17 Hummer Limousines in the company’s arsenal, A1 Limousines is ready for Super Bowl 2009.

One of the first words that you will become familiar with when travelling to the Fiji Islands is ‘Bula!’ which is a common greeting that means hello, welcome and cheers. One of the most seductive aspects of this 300 island nation is its all year round summer weather, and sun-soaked beaches. A mix of native tribes and fiery curries of seafood await the tourist who sets afoot on its shores. For the pleasure hedonist, there is no better place to swim, surf, snorkel, kayak or merely wade in to the trepid azure waters of this paradisiacal coast of islands. Find yourself at the depths of oceans, scuba diving amongst corals that are teeming with fish and an explosion of colour. Tourists can also find themselves in an isolated island discovering a tribe, at the ridge of an extinct volcano or elbow deep in sarongs and sarees on sale in the local market. Fiji offers something for the beach bum, the pleasure seekers, the environmentalist, families, adventurers and backpackers.

Those who are keen on nature and botany will find the Garden of the Sleeping Giant to be a pleasurable visit. Started up in 1977 by Raymond Burr, this famous Fijian tourist attraction is dedicated to exotic orchids from all over the world, including those that can be found locally. Spread over 20 hectares are over 2,000 species of orchid in the backdrop of lush vegetation. Enjoy a picnic or a walk through this vast expanse and breathe in the beauty and magic that envelopes this place.

Planning a trip to one of the Fiji luxury resorts? Look no further than the ever famous Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa for your idyllic Fiji luxury resort. A gem on the tropical island of Yanuca, this spa and resort is a great choice for families, a wedding, and a honeymoon or just about anything else that your heart desires.

Hurghada began life as a sleepy little fishing village, yet established itself as the first commercial dive centre in the Red Sea region during the1960’s. It has emerged into a thriving tourist resort, attracting keen divers and snorkelers from all over the world. Holidays in Hurghada will take you to Egypt’s Red Sea resort and a 40km stretch of beautiful coastline adorned with hotels and guest houses, from the simplest of accommodation to five star luxury hotels.

Holidays in Hurghada enjoy a warm, dry climate all year round. July and August can see temperatures often hit 40°C so can be a little uncomfortable, although this does make the sea water very warm and ideal for divers and snorkelers, while December and January are the coolest months yet can still manage quite high temperatures.

If you are not particularly into diving though, don’t worry, as holidays in Hurghada still have plenty to offer. The fabulous sandy beaches stretch for mile after mile and are a sun worshipper’s paradise. Straw covered umbrellas and swinging mattress strewn beds are dotted along the beach and most hotels have their own private stretches. Bedouin tents offer respite from the heat and leisurely camel rides offer the perfect distraction from lazing in the sun.

Above sea level activities include sailing, deep sea fishing and wind surfing plus there’s always Sinbad Submarine, a stylishly coloured yellow sub that takes you down to depths of 22m so you can see the fabulous underwater world here without getting wet.

Land excursions on holidays in Hurghada will include jeep safaris which will whisk you at high speed through the desert, or choose the quad bike, or more sedate camel option. Bedouin Nights will take you to an isolated camp where you will be treated to food, drink and camp side singing and dancing whilst the sun sets dramatically over the rugged horizon.

Shopping on holidays in Hurghada is a fantastic experience with canvas covered souks inviting you to haggle for those all important souvenirs. Traders will offer a cup of fragrant mint or hibiscus tea, and you may also be asked to sign their guest books. Leather goods, brassware, jewellery, rugs, shishas, fragrant spices and crafts are amongst the fabulous gifts available here.

Nightlife around the resort is relatively low key however most hotels have excellent entertainment packages, bars and nightclubs to keep guests of all ages amused.

Holidays in Hurghada are the perfect choice for scuba divers and snorkelers, however there is still so much more to this beautiful Red Sea Resort than first meets the eye.

Welcoming most if not the majority of tourists to Myanmar is Yangon. Previously known as the capital, this city of Myanmar still remains as the hub of activity in terms of finance, economy, education, entertainment, shopping, tourist attractions and so much more. Some might say that this city is still trapped in the past, and this is evident in the ramparts of Strand and Pansodan Street that still hold remnants of colonial rule. A walk through these areas is akin to taking a walk in to the past, where the streets are laid with cobblestone and the charm exudes from every crack and crevice. On the flip side, Yangon serves up a delightful array of entertainment opportunities to keep just about everyone happy. Home to a mix of nationals from Chinese, Indians, Burmese, Shan, Mon and Western expatriates who were lured by its quaintness and simplicity.

There is no mistaking the glittering gold pinnacle of the Shwedagon Pagoda that can be seen from most parts of Yangon city. Standing 98 meters high, this amazing tourist attraction of Yangon is an extremely important and holy place for Buddhists across the globe. Known to hold relics of the past four Buddha, the Shwedagon Pagoda is visited by tourists for its magnificence and by locals and followers of Buddhism to pay homage. The relics that are enshrined in this temple are believed to belong to Kakusandha (his staff), Konagamana (water filter), Kassapa (a piece of robe) and eight hairs of Gautama. According the history of the temple, the Shwedagon Pagoda is 2,500 years old, and the design and architecture of this temple is simply a masterpiece. For instance the crown of the umbrella that sits atop of the temple is made of 5,448 diamonds and 2,317 rubies, whilst the 16gram diamond sits right at top of the umbrella.

This marvel of Yangon is a beautiful sight to see, with so much to explore and experience within the compounds of the temple. Whilst planning your holiday in Yangon, there is no better tourist attraction to see than Shewdagon Pagoda. Make your online reservation with ease at Traders Hotel, Yangon a prestigious Yangon hotel, and be rest assured that all your requirements are met.

Cornwall Holidays

Well . . .its that time of year. All the excitement of Christmas has passed us by for another year and the optimism of New Year has come and gone so now we are left with another couple of months of hard winter, with its damp days, cold, dark evenings and not a lot to celebrate.

This is when we start to think ahead and anticipate the pleasures of the year that is yet to come and one of the BIG things we all look forward to is that wonderful summer holiday, or vacation, if you are from the other side of the Atlantic!

With the recession still gripping us by the nether regions and many people thinking about costs, perhaps it is time to think about a holiday at home.

And what better place could you think about that lovely, magical Cornwall.

There are so many things to see and do, as my family have discovered these past 20 odd years.

I grew up in Cornwall so I hope you will forgive or excuse the bias but really there is nowhere better to enjoy such a wide range of diverse things to do and no matter whether you are a single, a couple or a family. Whether you are a teenager, a thirtysomething, middle aged or advanced middle age ( the last one is me and I am not yet ready to be ‘elderly!’) Cornwall has something for you.

There is the North Coast Vs South Coast argument which rages.

The North has the rugged, adventure aspect of holidays, together with the mysterious and the mythical.

There is Newquay - the surfing paradise of Cornwall and one of the surf havens of the world, where you can let your hair down, party and pit your wits agains some great surf. And if you are a novice, there are plenty of surf schools where you can learn to brave the wave.

Padstow and Boscastle are two delightful places. Typical, traditional harbour villages and Boscastle has the legacy of the terrible day a few years back when the place and the people in it were very nearly swept into oblivion. You jjust have to visit it to appreciate the fact that it has recovered and is now starting to thrive again.

Tintagel with all the romance, mystery and intrigue of Arthur, Merlin and Excalibur is a place that you just cannot miss, The castle ruins are dramatic and the views . . . .well, they are just breathtaking.

Go south to St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall which has a newly built shopping centre and then on to Truro, down towards the west, which is Cornwall’s capital. Truro is a city and one that is well worth visiting for its quaint and historic beauty.

Inbetween there is the science of the Eden project, Just outside Cornwall as well as the china clay museum at Carthew on the A30 between St Austell and Bodmin.

Further on down towards Cornwall’s westerly tip you come to Goonhilly, Cornwalls very own satelllite centre and once the largest tracking station in the world.

Then it is on to Lands End and The Lizard, the most southerly point in Britain.

Coming back up the coast there is Looe, Polperro, St Ives, Mevagissey, Gorran Haven, Pentewan and Fowey, all wonderful, traditional holiday towns with plenty for the family to see, do and enjoy.

Pasties, Cream Teas, great sea food and fabulous restaurants, Wonderful Ice Cream and terrific locally brewed beers (not to mention scrumpy).

Cornwall has such a lot to offer and you can stay wherever your budget will allow.

Camping, Caravanning, Cottages, Hotels - there is such a range of accommodation options at a range of prices so that everyone can find something that suits there needs as well as their pocket.

There! Just writing about it has made me feel as if spring is only just around the corner!

I shall be down there in about 4 weeks. I am off to Helsett farm in Boscastle to get some of their gorgeous, delicious organic ice cream. Well . . .it is worth the 500 mile round trip!

History The Falls Road was originally a country lane leading from the city centre but the population of the area expanded rapidly in the nineteenth century with the construction of several large linen mills. All of these have now closed. The housing in the area developed in the nineteenth century and was organised in narrow streets of small terraced back-to-back housing. Many of these streets were named after characters and events in the Crimean War (1853-1856) which was occurring at that time. These included Raglan Street - named after Lord Raglan, commander of British forces in the Crimean War, Alma Street - named after the Battle of Alma, Balaklava Street - named after the Battle of Balaklava, Suomenlinna Street - named after the Battle of Suomenlinna in Finland, Inkerman Street - named after the Battle of Inkerman, and Sevastopol Street - named after the Siege of Sevastopol. By the 1960s the buildings in the area had decayed considerably and the Belfast Corporation introduced a major development plan which involved wholescale demolition of much of the area and its replacement with a series of flat complexes. The high point of this redevelopment was Divis Tower. [edit]Politics Bobby Sands mural on the Falls Road As a predominantly working-class community, the Falls Road has historically had a strong socialist tradition but prior to the 1970s and 1980s had also been less militantly nationalist than many other areas of Northern Ireland. So while James Connolly, the Irish socialist, resided in the upper Falls for a period in the early 20th century and was involved in organizing the workers in the linen mills[citation needed] the area was generally seen as a bedrock of the Irish Parliamentary Party: famously Eamon De Valera lost heavily here in the 1918 UK General Election. Connolly’s secretary Winifred Carney also lived on the Falls. The past century has seen an ongoing contest between various versions of labour/socialist and nationalist/republican for electoral leadership in the area. In the 1929 election to the new Northern Ireland Parliament, the Belfast, Falls constituency was won by the Nationalist Richard Byrne after a very bitter contest with William McMullen, a strong supporter of Connolly. In the 1945 election, Harry Diamond won the seat standing for the Socialist Republican Party. He held the seat until 1969, when he was defeated by Paddy Devlin standing for the Northern Ireland Labour Party. Devlin, who had once been a member, alongside Diamond, of the Belfast branch of the Irish Labour Party, became a founding member of the Social Democratic and Labour Party in 1970 and remained the member until the Parliament was prorogued in 1972. In 1964, Billy McMillen stood as a Republican candidate for the Belfast West constituency in the Westminster election. His office was in Divis Street and the Irish tricolour alongside the Starry Plough of James Connolly’s Irish Citizen Army in was displayed in the window. The public display of the flag of the Republic of Ireland was banned by the Northern Ireland government at that time. Protestant preacher Ian Paisley insisted that the Royal Ulster Constabulary remove the flag or he would organise a march and remove it himself.[1] The police feared a backlash from Loyalists, and removed it. There was unrest and rioting from the Catholic community. In the late 1960s, many Catholics from across Northern Ireland began to campaign for civil rights. This included an end to religious discrimination in housing and jobs. Loyalists opposed the Civil Rights movement. They raided Catholic areas. Several streets around the Falls Road were burnt out by loyalists in August 1969. In response to the worsening situation, the British Government deployed the British Army on to the Falls Road. The troops were initially welcomed by the Falls residents, who trusted them to act in an unbiased manner. This attitude, however, quickly turned to anger as they came to see the British Army as an occupying force. In 1970, the road was the scene of what became known as the Falls Curfew. After an attack by the Provisional IRA, 3000 British troops sealed off the streets around the Falls road, home to about 10,000 people, setting off CS gas. The British actions were opposed by the Official IRA, who engaged them in a vicious gun battle. Over the course of the weekend, four Catholic civilians were killed by the British. Ninety rifles were recovered.[2] This event is widely regarded as the end of the British army’s “honeymoon” period with the nationalist community in Northern Ireland.[3] For the following thirty years the British Army maintained a substantial presence on the Falls Road, with a base on top of the Divis Tower. This was removed in August 2005 as part of the British government’s Normalisation programme following the IRA’s statement that it was ending its armed activities. In the intervening period, the Falls Road area saw some of the worst violence of the Troubles.

Holidaymakers have been visiting Dubai for years now for its high class urban living as well as for its ability to offer natural and man-made seashores. One gets the idea of the planning and resources gone into developing Dubai’s coastline once having personally visited them. A sustained focus on the development of beach tourism has given birth to a world class hospitality coming up along Dubai’s seashores in roughly the last two decades or so. The bulk of this hospitality, which is a key for growing the city’s tourism, is formed by Dubai beach hotels. Beach hotels such as Burj Al Arab, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and Dubai Marine Beach Resort have been in the forefront of promoting the message of Dubai holiday and leisure in the whole world.

Among all Dubai beach hotels, Burj Al Arab has contributed most significantly in promoting the cause of city’s tourism. Its impressive photographs have been featured in various travelogues, business magazines, TV programs and in ads carrying the message of Dubai tourism, thus making Dubai holiday an attractive option for the travelers from across the world. According to industry watchers, Burj Al Arab has eaten more money in making than what it may ever return back as a business model, but it has already paid back immensely by attracting toursim inflow into the emirate.

Dubai beach hotels were known for their class and service even before the inception of Burj Al Aarb. However, the size and quality of the hospitality grew manifolds in the recent years with Dubai’s focus shifting towards tourism in a big manner. Man-made islands such as Palm islands and The World have taken the experience of Dubai holiday to the next level. Dubai’s impeccable thirst for world landmarks has given birth to some of these modern wonders. On one hand, they have brought in an unforgettable experience of leisure and recreation for the travelers from allover world, and on the other they have been instrumental in furthering Dubai’s goal of raking in tourism money.

Dubai’s land reclamation has allowed it to build not just additional hotels, but also a great many villas and furnished apartments. Those unwilling to stay at Dubai beach hotels could instead hope to be lodged in at Dubai’s villas and apartments. There is plnety to choose from the five-star yet homely villas and apartments in Dubai. Oftentimes, the travelers can avail the apportunity of staying in other facilities as well from the agents they book their Dubai holiday from.

There is a long list of Dubai beach hotels that one can choose their stay options from. This includes luxurious as well as cheap Dubai hotels. At the same time, there is more to Dubai holiday than merely staying at the city’s beach hotels, this includes taking part in adventurous and recreational activities, such as deep-sea fishing, paragliding, jet skiing, windsurfing and several other water-sports. More of it can be pursued in the interiors of Dubai, such as motor sports and desert expeditions. No doubt, Dubai has all that which makes it to be a top class tourism attraction, from resorts and hotels to malls and duty-free items, and from villas and furnished apartments to adventure sports.
