Huay Kwang District – Bangkok's Soapy Massage Hot Spot

Soapy massage parlors in Bangkok may just be the primary reason why most men visit Bangkok. Though you can easily find a few establishments in Bangkok’s red light districts, they are not in my opinion worth visiting. For a good soapy massage experience it’s best to head to the Huay Kwang district.

Huay Kwang district is located not far from the hub of activity in Sukhumvit. You can easily get to Huay Kwang by taking the MRT underground train to Huay Kwang station in just a few stops from Sukhumvit. Skip the taxi as traffic in the area is quite bad throughout the evening.

Once you get to Huay Kwang station and after exiting the gate, look for stair exit #3. From there head south and you will immediately see a large sign that says Emmanuelle Entertainment. Don’t let the photos of sexy Western women fool you. You will only find Thai ladies working inside.

Head a little bit further down and you will find Nataree and Subway. Subway is worth a look but Nataree is hands down one of the best places in my opinion. However the rooms inside for use are a bit dingy.

When it comes to paying the price for services there is a chance as a foreigner you will be quoted a more expensive rate. It’s called a falang surcharge. Falang in Thai means you the foreigner. So for example if a Thai pays 2500THB for 90 minutes, you might be paying 500THB to 1000THB more. Most of the papasans or mamasans working in these establishments speak different types of Asian languages, but most in general speak English.

If you are of Asian nationality meaning Chinese, Korean, Japanese or anything else between that you may get a free pass and pay what the local Thais normally pay.

Other than the soapy massage parlors Huay Kwang district is a great area to explore especially Huay Kwang Road. Since most of the ladies working in the nightlife industry live in the area you can really spend a whole night just lady watching.
