towwwdothello asked:
the acceptance of that would be considered an open marriage or polygamy under what circumstances?
What exactly are the qualifications of marriage?

The qualifications of marriage is to “Love, honor and obey”. Being faithful is a major part of marriage and that does not mean you share yourselves with other people.
In law, marriage is the union of one man and one woman.
If you share your spouse with others, you are in an adulterous relationship as far as law goes. But if all parties involved agree to it, no one is going to bring charges over it. At least, not until the relationships go sour (as they almost always do) at which time the sh*t hits the fan and it winds up being very messy
It’s up to the 2 people in the marriage to choose how they will live. They both need to agree.
How the heck can any one put up with more than one person @ a time in a marriage should be the question.
I think that’s up to the couple.
