How does allowing *** marriage have anything to do with education?

Chrispy asked:

Why do so many people state that their child will be taught about *** marriage in school if *** marriages were legal?

I don’t recall hearing this argument nearly as frequently when civil unions became legal.

im bi so im all for *** marriage
however many parents are concerned because they consider being *** and *** marriage to be wrong and schools would have to teach that *** is between two people not between a man and a woman and also that marriage is simply between two people not a man and woman. and then dont want their children taught that.
    hope i helped. :)

where would be the harm in teaching kids about *** marriage? i promise you, the species would perpetuate as normal whether they taught this or not.

my answer to you is it has nothing to do with anything, just the usual paranoia exhibited by the religious extremists of any creed.

  • ♥Socially Awkward♥ says:

    It doesn’t.

I guess in CA the people whom wanted to vote YES on prop 8 had more funding for smear ad’s.

  • just me... says:

i learned marrage and *** by my parents that is how it should be
also never even heard of civil union
and if MARRIGE is a CRISTIAN value explain how my parents got married by an orthodox rabbi at a temple.

    please answer my question too.;_ylv=3?qid=20081107183406AAi6HXN

Funny thing is when I was at school I wasn’t taught about blatant bigotry then again we never learnt about marriages either.

  • deathknighthc says:

    It doesn’t.

  • ♥♡kate♡♥ says:

It doesn’t, Those are all lies just to get *** marriage banned..because their only real argument is “the bible”..and they know it wont work, because of separation of church and state…so they start making up fake reasons as to why *** marriage should be banned! It’s truly sickening…The reason prop 8 was passed was because people actually believed what the people were saying about *** marriage.,,

  • shadow_angel says:

it don’t that’s the sad part

  • Atom74 - is done playin nice says:

ironically most kids I know are 100% fine with *** people

  • disturbia attack(; says:

yes, i agree with the first poster. it’s a scare tactic. many parents are afraid that if they teach same-sex marriage in school then many children will become *** :$

    kinda stupid but whatever.

  • nehkbet says:

For the same reason that if two people of the same *** who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together get married people will develop a sudden passion to marry a herd of goats

  • CrudeMood says:

Its just weird twisted logic. I don’t recall being taught about marriage at all in school.

  • Mountain Man says:
