How would you feel if the State of California passed a law saying that it now recognized ALL High School Diplomas... I mean even ones written on the back of a brown paper bag in purple crayon that said HIGH SKOOL DIPLAMA that was signed by some guy's Mom? What if they started saying ANYONE with ANY badge was a law enforcement officer... little Dennis Mitchel with his $1.98 plastic SHERRIF badge is now supposed to be on the same level as a 12 year veteran of the Highway Patrol. Simply saying something is true doesn't make it so. Simply saying that someone has completed High School doesn't mean they have a High School Education, just as saying someone is a trained cop, doesn't make him one. Saying that two men who live together are married doesn't make it a marriage. And the State ought not to be in the buisness of lying.
