I think Martha's Vineyard is very romantic. Because it's an island and you either ride over on the ferry or fly in on a small plane, it feels "special" and "away from it all". Of course there are beautiful beaches, charming inns and great restaurants.

It's an option for a close honeymoon (depending on where you live). You can have the feel of a tropical island without flying as far and it could likely cost less.

It all depends on you and your fiance's preference: is money an object, do you like the beach, do you like to sightsee a lot?
For a cheap and fabulous beach honeymoon, go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic (you can stay in a 4.5 star all inclusive resort with air for $2,500 for 2) or Jamaica ( a little pricier but not too bad and also fabulous).
For amazing sightseeing, go to Europe: Paris is always a crowd pleaser, or you can do a tour of Italy (Rome, Venice, and Florence are must-sees, not to mention Milan). Food is amazing in both of these countries, and it is incredibly romantic just to be in places of such high culture and amazing atmosphere.
You can also go to Hawaii (which is our honeymoon destination, we're going for 2 weeks to 3 different Hawaiian islands, it should be a blast!) although I should warn you that it is expensive (even though we haven't gone yet, I've done plenty of research).

Have a wonderful wedding and honeymoon, congratulations! =)

For my honeymoon im going on a carnival cruise which stops at several different locations where you can get off and spend the whole day before boarding again. So you get to see various places instead of just one. After that Im going to spend another week on a beach front resort in Freeport Bahamas.

I know Mexico is dangerous right now, although they say that the private resorts are still safe, but we went there on our honeymoon 5 years ago. If the safety issue is over by the time you go, I 100 percent recommend Secrets Capri Riviera Maya resort. It is in Riviera Maya Mexico about 30 minutes from Cancun. You can check it out in detail at applevacations.com. I also recommend going through them. They took care of everything, including transportation to and from the resort, including vacation packages such as swimming with the dolphins, Chichen Itza ruins, a night on the town in Cancun, etc... Anyway, the resort is all inclusive with 5 restaurants, a nightclub, nightly entertainment, free snorkeling and sailing, and right on the beautiful beach. We had the time of our life! (It's also adults only & no spring breakers!) They go out of their way to make sure your vacation is as relaxing and wonderful as possible!

France is romantic and everything, but I would **** to go on a honeymoon to a place where I'm hated for being American. And France is a prominent American-hating country! I think you ought to go to Italy, Germany, or Ireland. If you're looking for a beautiful landscape, go hiking in Ireland. If you're looking for a romantic setting, hop on a Gondola in Italy. Or if you're looking for all the comforts of home in a foreign land, go experience Germany (they are the most Americanized of all oversea countries).

I think a honeymoon haves to be romantic and relaxing. Because after all the planning for the wedding u need time to be far from everything.
So i would recomend u sth like Hawaii or some other Island.
I think they are really romantic, u can have beautiful sunsets, and can easily relax near the ocean.
The food is perfect and most of this Islands have spa for couples. Also u can take great pictures with gorgeous landscapes.
The people is really nice and at night u can found some fun too.

Some pics from aruba:=&rlz=1T4SKPB_esGT301GT301&um=1&sa=1&q=aruba
Good luck :)
