At what part of the wedding ceremony do the bride and groom light the center candle?

vest92 Wants To Know:
It has become popular for the mothers to each light a candle, leaving a center candle ready for the bride and groom. I know the mothers traditionally light the candles before they are seated. I’m trying to determine music selections and I need to know when the bride and groom will light the center candle.

when my husband and i got married we lit the unity candle right after we said our vows. my mother lit one and his sister lit the other one. once we lit our we blew theres out as a cymbal to say that we are one. we also lit the candle off a song called you are FLESH OF MY FLESH
Just before or mabe after the vows.
Talk to your minister/officiant.
Usually it’s done after the rings, before the final ‘well-wishes’/blessing & pronouncement.
