I am an Indian living in UK and I would like to get married with a Polish girl in UK?

I have been staying in UK since June 2006 and I am on a Work Permit and I would like to get married with my Polish girlfriend in UK only.Is it possible to get maried in UK or do I have to travel to India or Poland?If yes what documents do we need to have for all the formalities and what are the legal requirements for this? And is there any Marriage Bureau which conducts such weddings?

Find out about the marriage laws in your country, I would assume you can marry this person there but cannot guarentee it, contact the person who marries people there and ask him/her

I work with a polish girl who is in the same situation as you she plans to marry a Indian guy. From what she was saying is that because neither of them are British Citzens they can not get married in the Uk and if they wish to marry in the UK they have had to seek advice from a solictor and have been told they have to apply to the High Courts for a wedding licence. Not sure if that helps you
