What are some important factors to consider when planning a honeymoon?

Persephone asked:
I’m getting married in July. I’ve gotten the wedding plans just about finished, and soon I will be focusing on the honeymoon. So far all I’ve done is book the honeymoon chalet we’re going to be staying in for a few days. I know I’ll have to consider the cost of gas, food, and tickets to attractions, but are there any other costs that people typically have to anticipate? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Make sure you’ve designated someone to manage the cleaning up, taking things back to the rental shop, etc, after the wedding so you don’t have to deal with it.
If you’re going international you may want to look into an interntaional phone card or changing your cell phone plan to international for a couple of weeks.
This is just me, but I like to atleast loosely plan my vacations so I don’t run out of time to do everything I really want to do.
Have fun
If you’re travelling out of the country, make sure that you have a basic grasp of the language if it’s foreign, or make sure that shop keepers or hotel staff can speak English and help you around.
Also familiarize yourself with local customs. What are tipping expectations, table manners, etc.?
Take asprin or something for headaches. And a urinary alkalinizer…..sounds yuk, but I spent my honeymoon with a urinary tract infection and it ruined it for me. I was in pain ****** all the time! I assume you will be having a bit of s e x while on your honeymoon. So be prepared!
Also make sure you are not going to get your period…..what a fizzer to have that on your honeymoon! you can fix your pills so you miss it if it happens to fall on your honeymoon.
Sounds like I am just focussing on the *** thing….I am not a ******* or *** addict…..they are just facts.
you will probably want money for incidentals like shopping for a souvenir or momento
Weather…sounds silly but I read a lot of reviews from people who think they’re going to have a tropical honeymoon in another country….only to find out it’s monsoon season or it’s that country’s winter season.
Soveniers!!!! Dont forget you’ll want to remember the honeymoon with at least one thing for your house and sweatshirts and such, so remember money for that kind of stuff too!
If you are going out of the country dont forget to bring adapters for your electrics, other countries dont use the same outlet styles as we do in the US.
Good luck!
Your guy should be planning the honeymoon. You plan the wedding.
If you are leaving the country………PASSPORTS! I have heard they are taking up to 12 weeks to process, so get started now if needed.
That’s your fiance’s job!
