Where should I go for my October honeymoon?

Hi,
I am getting married next October – the 5th. We are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon. We were originally planning to go to Europe but as we are only going to have 2-3 weeks I just don’t think there is enough time – that will have to be our next holiday.
So we are looking at an island honeymoon. I wanted to go to Thailand but we would be going in the wet season which wouldn’t make it much fun.
We live in Sydney so don’t want it to be anywhere too far away.. Definitely overseas but preferably not the other side of the world.
Any suggestions?

Why not go to Mauritius? I went over in August this year for my honeymoon. It was absolutely stunning and a real paradise! It is hot most year round and if you went during October I think it might be an off peak season which will be cheaper?

Hawaii is wonderful in October with occasional showers, beautiful skies and the water is warm and it’s not crowded.
